It’s a good day

I am having a good day today.  My hubby took the day off to spend some time together since the kids are now back in school and we can finally have some time alone.  We just got back from lunch at the new restaurant in town and it was so good.  A Caeser salad with shrimp and I got to have a Dirty Cow.  Never had one before but I will again.  It had milk and kahlua and not sure what else but tasted damn good and has kicked in.

The ASPCA has a free pet safety pack that you can get that has a window decal showing that pets are in the house along with a magnet with their toll free emergency number on it should your pet get into something.  In my house with Sherman it’s a given.  That dog will eat anything.  You can also download a free cat or dog ringtone for your cell phone.  I passed on that one since I hear barking enough as it is.  Check it out here.

jewelry

As my mind is usually in twenty different places so will this blog.

I found this site awhile ago and have ordered from them and have been pleased with their stuff. The jewelry changes on the front page frequently and is free though you have to pay shipping of $5.99. When they have pendants you can order a chain to go with it for 3 dollars. I like it because with my daughters I don’t get to keep my stuff long and if they loose it or break it (as the nine year old tends to do with alot of things) I don’t mind so much.

And I thought my right arm was just stronger

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after my daughter was born 9 years ago. It was always there but just never diagnosed. We never went to the doctor when we were kids unless you were near death or bleedly profusely. I do not mean to say that my parents didn’t care about my health but when money and lack of insurance and doubt of doctors are in play, it happens. My teenage years were “troubled” to say the least but I managed mostly to contain myself throughout most of my adulthood. Granted bad choices were made but I survived. After my daughter was born I suffered from post partum depression and that eventually led to the bipolar diagnosis.

I was reading an article today about a British study that says how a mother holds her baby can be an indicator of extreme stress that can lead to post partum depression. I’m not sure I’m buying this one. It seems that if you favor the right side then you’re stressed. Aren’t new mothers stressed to begin with, the lack of sleep, hormones, etc? But how I carried my children? I did favor the right side with all of them but it seems like a reach to me. If you care to read it

Hello world!

This is my first attempt so bear with me. I am a 37 year old mother of three daughters. I’ve been married for 19 years. My oldest is 18 and is studying to be a paralegal. Next is my 12 yr old who is now in the 7th grade and thankfully loves it. My youngest is 9 and in the 4th grade. Our house is always busy between work, doctor’s appointments, cheerleading and car shows.
